Pre-Professional Training
Our pre-professional ballet program provide progressive achievement in ballet technique, pre-pointe, pointe, variation, repertoire, and character dance from age 11 and up. Placements are based upon skill and not age.
Creative Movement | Age 3 to 4, and 5 to 8 years
The creative dance program is designed for little pupils from ages 3 to 4 and older beginners from 5 to 8, offering incentive for musicality, rhythm, coordination, flexibility, and improvisation. It is designed to improve imagination, concentration flexibility, musicality and coordination. Pre-Ballet | Age 8 and older Pre-Ballet is designed to improve balance, focus, concentration, musicality, flexibility, and discipline. Elementary Ballet | Age 10 and older At this level, our pupils learn and have a strong command of ballet vocabulary and the progressive technique in classical ballet. Intermediate and Advanced Ballet | Age 11 and older At this level, our program is designed to target the development of advanced ballet technique: pointe work, variation, and repertoire. Our pupils are given incentives to consider a career as ballet professionals with additional training to prepare them for professional careers and/or selection into university programs. |
Character Dance | Age 11 and older
Character dance is a specific subdivision of classical ballet based on national and folkloric tradition that have been stylized and included in classical ballet productions like Don Quixote, Swan Lake, and many others. Most popular in the classical repertoire are the national dances of Spain, Poland, Hungary, Russia, China, and others which has been stylized for classical ballet performance. The shoes worn, usually black heels, are called character shoes. Contemporary Dance | Age 8 and older This course is a compilation of different styles of dance including lyrical, jazz, classical ballet, and modern dance. |
