Dress Code Policy

It is mandatory to our pupils to be dressed according the dress code to attend the classes. Girls hair must be held back in a ballet bun for all levels.​

GIRLS requirements

CREATIVE MOVEMENT & BEGINNING BALLET
– Pink leotard w/spaghetti straps
– Pink tights
– Pink ballet shoes full sole
– Pink skirt

PRE-BALLET 
– Black leotard 
– Pink tights
– Pink ballet shoes 

ELEMENTARY BALLET
– Black leotard w/spaghetti straps
– Pink ballet tights
– Pink canvas ballet shoes with split sole

INTERMEDIATE, ADVANCED & PRE-PROFESSIONAL BALLET
– Black leotard
– Pink transition/convertible tights
– Pink canvas ballet shoes with split sole 

POINTE, VARIATIONS & REPERTOIRE
– Black skirt
BOYS requirements

School Policy

  1. Students under the age of 18 can not be left without ADULT SUPERVISION.
  2. Students can not be left unattended after school closes. The receptionist and/or teacher will offer a 15 minutes grace period for parents/guardian to pick up the student.  Please call front desk if you are going to be late, otherwise you would have to pay an extra class time.
  3. It is mandatory to call the front desk if your child is going to be absent for class.
  4. Students who are late more than 15 minutes must observe the class, this is in the benefit their health ( they could be injured if they do not warm up correctly) and is disrespectful to rest of the class. 
  5. It is important to attend all classes, be on time and participate fully and with a good attitude.
  6. If you have injuries or specific physical problems please inform the teacher prior to the beginning of the class.
  7. Make up classes are provided with an excused absence. All make up classes must be used within the same calendar month of the absent. Missed classes can not be applied to tuition or a refund.
  8. Tuition has to be paid in advance.
  9. In order to correct students alignment (placement) and execution of dance material the teacher may at times make hands on correction to the students’ bodies. This is a time honored and effective part of traditional dance instruction. If however, you have a problem with this it is your responsibility to inform the instructor prior the class.
  10. If you have any problem or question about the class or teaching style employed, please feel free to make an appointment to discuss them with the Director.
  11. All Students will be placed in the appropriate class at the discretion of the Director.
  12. Variation and Repertoire class REQUIRES minimum three ballet technique classes during the week.
  13. Nevada School of Dance reserves the right to terminate lessons for any students without notice. In such a case a refund for unused lessons will be given.
  14. Students who receive partial or full scholarship must participate in our annual spring recital and nutcracker performance .Scholarship does NOT cover the cost of the production and costume fees.
